Aluminum 7075 is a heat-treatable aluminum alloy with zinc as the primary alloying element. It offers excellent mechanical properties including good ductility, high strength, toughness, and superior resistance to fatigue.
While more susceptible to embrittlement than many other aluminum alloys due to microsegregation, 7075 provides significantly better corrosion resistance compared to 2000 series alloys.
