High Corrosion Resistance 6063 Aluminum Alloy Plate
Aluminium 6063 is a medium strength alloy commonly referred to as an architectural alloy.
It is normally used in intricate extrusions. It has a good surface finish, high corrosion
resistance, is suitable for welding and can be easily anodized. Most commonly available
as T6 temper, and offers good formability in the T4 delivery condition.
Medium Strength Properties
6063 aluminum plate offers medium strength and high corrosion resistance. With an
aesthetically pleasing finish, it is used in the fabrication of intricate extrusions used
as finishing products. 6061 / 6082 should be considered if greater strength is required.
Temper Types
The most common tempers for 6063 aluminum plate are:
- 6063 T4: Solution heat treated and naturally aged to a substantially stable condition.
- 6063 T6: Solution heat treated and artificially aged.
Applications of 6063 Alloy
It is widely used in the construction of aluminum doors, windows and curtain walls,
irrigation pipes, vehicles, benches, furniture, elevators, electronic components,
and various durable consumer goods. It is a common aluminum alloy model.
